Details
Run by a 501(c)(3) public charity, and its FAQ states plainly that everything is 100% free — courses, projects and even the verifiable certifications — funded by donations. You learn by building: step-by-step projects in the browser covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Linux, Git and SQL, plus web development, data science, AI, cybersecurity and English for Developers; each certification requires five projects and passing tests, all self-paced. An official Chinese site (chinese.freecodecamp.org) carries the core certifications in Chinese, while the English main site is the most complete, with a large library of free books and long tutorials on top. The platform and curriculum code are open source on GitHub.
Who it's for
Complete beginners learning to code on their own — especially anyone with no budget who also wants a free, verifiable certification along the way.
18btc Crypto Tools Navigator · Our Take
“Genuinely zero-budget learning: the free claim is real, certifications included, and the Chinese site lowers the entry barrier further. Two caveats: self-paced means nobody pushes you, and past the basics you will want the English site — it is noticeably more complete.”
