Excalidraw
A free online hand-drawn whiteboard: no sign-up, an infinite canvas, and encrypted live collaboration.
Visit tool →Details
Originally named Excalidraw, it is a free, open-source online whiteboard with a hand-drawn look (MIT licence, ~135K stars on GitHub): open the page and start sketching — no sign-up, an infinite canvas, and shapes, arrows, text and freehand strokes that all keep a doodle feel, equally at home for flowcharts, architecture diagrams and explainer sketches. Your work lives in your browser by default; export to PNG, SVG or a project file, or share a collaboration link so others can edit with you — live rooms are end-to-end encrypted. Keep the two apart: the editor at excalidraw.com is free, while Excalidraw+ is the official paid cloud service selling cloud workspaces, team management and file hosting — skipping it costs you none of the core drawing or collaboration.
Who it's for
Anyone who needs a quick flowchart, architecture diagram or interface sketch, and people who want a shared whiteboard for brainstorming or walking others through an idea remotely.
18btc Crypto Tools Navigator · Our Take
“Listing notes: the hand-drawn style takes the pressure off sketching, and open-and-draw plus share-a-link collaboration are its most likeable traits. Note that free-version files mostly live in your browser — export backups of anything important; cloud workspaces belong to the paid Excalidraw+.”
